I've had this clock for approximately 4 weeks now. I find the sound quality to be better than the price (not bose, not shure, but good).

The alarm has given me no problems. The smart set has worked correctly everytime. They include instructions on how to adjust the clock for time zones, and law mandate DLS time changes in 2007. I wish the clock lighting could go a little dimmer...

The buttons on the unit are somewhat small and are not illuminated. Might be a problem for you if you're one of those last minute clock setters.
Also the remote control does not fully contol the ipod--it only allows you to search through playlist. I've only seen full remote control search capabilities in the Eton Radio Sound Dock (sorry, no clock there).
Lastly, this unit ALWAYS rememebers the last listening volume. Volume levels are from 1-63 and has a mute function on the remote control. The volume you last listened to will be the volume that greets you in the early AM. Heavy sleepers be wary if you listened to Cannon in D before going to bed at a low whisper--you might not wake the next morning.

However, the following features (all of which I use) more than make up for any shortcomings: dual alarm, smart set, auto off snooze, remote, charging of dockable ipod, aux in and headphones in for other devices, and sleep and nap timer.

I feel that this radio is worth the price and will make your evening ritual that much more enjoyable.

Do Not Buy This! The Ipod dock doesnt work with the 2nd generation ipod nano. Plus tech support through emerson is HORRIBLE! I do NOT recommend this product to anyone.

I got this item for Christmas, because I asked for a stereo that I can hook my iPod Nano into and play. I also wanted an alarm and radio on it. This contains all of these things and pleases me. But the sensor is a huge problem, I realized it was a problem after a few days when I would here it and roll over, and it would shut off. It was funny when I figured it out. But, the speakers are nice. This is a decent item to get something. I think it is for the cheap people out there. It is worth what you pay for it. Also, the remote is annoying, what is wrong with rubber buttoms like a regular remote?

I bought this item in December. About 6 months later its "featured smart set" did not work and the music started getting fuzzy, and now 3 months after that the radio and my IPOD will faze out! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I purchased in spite of some of the reviews I had read. Yes, the display is too bright even on lowest setting. It was bearable, but then after about 6 weeks of use, the time began resetting randomly no matter what I did. I continued to use as an ipod dock until the unit died altogether. I'm so glad I didn't throw out my old alarm clock! I guess $70 isn't too much of a price for such a great education!

I bought this as a Christmas present to myself, I really like that it has 2 alarms I can set and nap timer too. I like the features and the alarm clock is great, to wake up to my Ipod and have it fully charged and ready to go. I thought the sound wouldn't be worth anything but it was really nice for the price. The only thing, the SmartSET wasnt so smart it was off and I was really disappointed in that because I thought it would be cool. But once you set it the radios computer holds your time zone in its memory. Not too bright for me, the radio isnt too bad either. I think if you read the manual its a GREAT buy!!

We received this for Christmas 2 years ago and we love it!! The only issue we've had with it is how bright it is...even on the dimmer setting. If you need your bedroom to be pitch black, you're probably not going to like this alarm clock...however, in every other aspect, it's been fantastic!! So nice to wake up to a predetermined song to help you get started for the day!!
